Lincolnshire is often described as 'The Secret County' - and perhaps
a little surprising too.
Imagine roads with
few cars, miles of country walks away from the crowds, wide
open sandy beaches... There's plenty to explore; Tattersall
Castle (National Trust) is a short distance away, the Aviation
Museum at East Kirkby is literally round the corner, the Battle
of Britain Memorial Flight is housed at Coningsby nearby.
Outdoor swimming pool, home of English Golf and a most unusual
cinema (Kinema in the Woods) await you at Woodhall Spa about
15 minutes drive from the cottage. If you are looking for
Antiques, try Horncastle (10 miles) described recently as
Britain's Antique Town.
